Euclidean rhythms are a beautifully simple way of using numerical parameters to define many rhythmic patterns common in music around the world. A basic Euclidean rhythm is expressed as a length of steps, and number of events divided between these steps. When the length number is not evenly divisible by the step number you get interesting syncopated rhythms

Constellation introduces several more useful parameters to Euclidean pattern generation including clock division, pattern rotation, burst, ratchet and probability. These allow for musically dynamic rhythms with periods of sparse and dense activity
stack patterns with logic
each of Constellation's 8 channels contains 8 individual euclidean pattern generators that play at the same time and are combined with logic to produce a complex trigger or gate rhythm at the channel output
